If you are dealing with age spots, chances are you have thought about using age spot faders. There are a number of them on the market and many of them are chemically based. Large cosmetics corporations that make these products insist that they are safe and effective and can give you a clearer, younger looking appearance before you know it.

The problem is that they are not safe. Because they are loaded with chemicals they can be quite toxic if they are used improperly. You may wind up having a bad reaction to the ingredients. This can lead to allergic rashes, dry skin and extensive discomfort. At worst they can cause severe and long lasting health problems. This is because the skin can absorb the chemicals and toxins that are put on it.

It is true that chemical creams and lotions may be able to fade your aging spots quicker than natural products. But if you are harming your health in the process, is saving a little time really worth it? IF you dont think so, you may be pleased to know that there are some incredibly effective natural age spot faders.

One is extrapone. This is made from nutgrass root extract and targets the melanin in your skin. Melanin, which is responsible for pigmentation, is the reason behind age spots. When it is exposed to UV radiation it darkens and a sun tan results. This developed for protective reasons as a way of preventing more extensive sun damage. However when we age, years of constant sun exposure take their tole and we end up with uneven patches of darker pigmentation.

You may also want to look for age spot faders that contain alpha-tocopherol. This is a natural form of vitamin E and is a very powerful antioxidant. This is important because antioxidants will prevent further sun damage from UV radiation. It can make your skin look and feel younger overall, which is a wonderful side benefit to using it as an age spot reducer.

The good news about age spot faders which use extrapone and alpha tocopherol is that both of these are easily absorbed by the skin and will not cause any health problems. You can feel confident knowing that putting either of these ingredients on your skin will not lead to problems down the road.

Because after all, if you dont feel good, what is the use of looking younger?
